Data Solutions Analyst at Capitec (SQL and Data Warehousing)
Capitec
Overview
Capitec is looking for a Data Solutions Analyst to help shape how their data warehouse grows and support decisions that impact over 23 million clients. You will work with senior stakeholders, define data requirements, lead a Community of Practice, and ensure data is clean and trusted. This is a great opportunity for a mid to senior analyst with strong SQL and dimensional modelling skills to join one of South Africa's biggest banks.
About the role
Capitec is seeking a Data Solutions Analyst to join their Data and Analytics team. The data that powers every decision at Capitec, from product design to credit risk to client experience, needs to be clean, trusted and built to scale. In this role, you will not just maintain data systems. You will have a direct say in how the data warehouse grows, shape architectural decisions, and turn complex business questions into reliable data that teams across the organisation can act on.
You will define how data is structured, sourced and stored so that one trusted set of data powers many different teams and tools. You will work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into clear data requirements and well documented solutions. You will also lead a Community of Practice, bringing data practitioners together to share knowledge and raise standards across the business.
This is an ongoing talent pipeline. By applying, you are expressing interest in joining Capitec's Data Solutions Analyst team and will be considered for current or future opportunities as they arise. You will be contacted when relevant roles open up.

Success Guide
Applying for a data role at Capitec means showing you understand how data drives real business decisions. Tailor your CV to highlight your SQL work, any dimensional models you have built, and how you turned messy data into something teams could trust. They value people who can talk to both technical and non technical colleagues, so mention times you worked with stakeholders or led a project. During interviews, expect questions about your approach to data quality, how you handle conflicting requirements, and your experience with Agile delivery. Also be ready to explain how you have mentored or shared knowledge with other data practitioners, because leading a Community of Practice is part of this role. Make sure your criminal and credit records are clean, as Capitec will check. Good luck!
