Overview
Sasso Consulting is hiring 5 experienced Data Migration Architects in Centurion, Gauteng. If you have at least 3 years of specialised data migration architecture experience and enjoy leading large scale enterprise migrations to cloud platforms, this is a chance to work on complex projects with real impact. About the role
We are recruiting 5 Data Migration Architects to design and lead complex enterprise data migration and modernisation projects. You will work on moving data between legacy systems, enterprise databases and modern cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Your work will involve designing migration strategies and architectures, building source to target mappings, and creating ETL and ELT pipelines that hold up under enterprise scale pressure. You will also manage data quality, cleansing, validation and reconciliation throughout each project.
Day to day, you can expect to lead migration projects from the planning phase all the way through to production, design database and cloud migration solutions, and develop testing, cutover and rollback strategies. You will collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to keep everything aligned and secure.

Requirements
- Relevant IT, Computer Science or Data Engineering degree or diploma.
- Minimum 7 years experience in enterprise data environments.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Data Migration Architecture or equivalent solution architecture.
- Proven experience designing and leading large scale enterprise data migrations.
- Strong SQL, database technologies and data modelling expertise.
- Hands on experience with ETL or ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica or Talend.
- Experience with Azure, AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, reconciliation and migration testing.
- Experience with migration cutover, rollback and recovery planning.
- TOGAF, CDMP, Azure, AWS or other relevant data certifications are advantageous.
- General Data Analysts, BI Developers or ETL Developers without proven enterprise data migration architecture experience will not be considered.
