About the role
Mogale Solution Providers seeks a Credit Risk Analyst to join their team in Sandton on a fixed term, part time basis. You will play a key role in assessing and monitoring credit risk to enable informed business decisions.
What you will do:
- Conduct credit and background searches on applicant companies, entrepreneurs, and directors.
- Prepare accurate credit and background checking reports with commentary in the required format.
- Rate transactions using the risk rating model and run the pricing model to propose final deal pricing.
- Attend credit committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of credit risk capability and credit risk controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Finance or Risk Management
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a Credit Risk environment
- High level understanding of credit risk management concepts
- Report writing skills
- Good technical capability in SQL and MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex processes to colleagues with varying technical knowledge
- Ability to build relationships and networks internally and externally
- Self starter who works well under pressure
- Logical approach to problem solving for technical and business issues
Responsibilities
- Perform credit and background searches on applicant companies, entrepreneurs and directors
- Prepare credit and background checking reports with accurate commentary

- Produce accurate risk reports in the correct format
- Participate in credit committee processes and attend credit committees

- Support the building and development of credit metrics and credit risk control projects
