About the role
As a Credit Controller and Accounts Receivable specialist, you will own the full credit relationship with key national retail and e commerce customers. Your main goal is to convert sales into collected cash on agreed terms while keeping credit exposure within approved limits.
You will be responsible for the end to end credit process, from assessing new customers and setting credit limits to chasing payments and resolving deductions and rebates. This role requires strong reconciliation skills and the ability to work with remittance advices and customer claims.
You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure accurate records and timely collections. Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential, as is a solid understanding of retailer rebate and deduction processes.
Requirements
- Matric with a diploma or degree in finance, accounting or a related field preferred
- Completed credit management qualification such as CM2 or CM3 or equivalent
- At least 4 years experience in a similar credit control or accounts receivable role, preferably in wholesale, distribution or FMCG
- Demonstrable experience collecting from national retail or e commerce accounts, including reconciling remittance advices and resolving customer deductions
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP
- Knowledge of retailer rebate and deduction regimes and reconciling contracted rebate percentages to customer claims
- Exposure to trade credit insurance including limit applications, overdue notifications and claims
