About the role
Our client, a manufacturing business based in Hammarsdale, KZN, is looking for a Cost and Management Accountant who can keep inventory costing accurate and give production and commercial teams useful insight into profitability. You will report to the FP&A Manager and work across costing, stock, margins and reporting.
What you will do:
- Maintain accurate costing of raw materials, packaging, inventory and bills of materials
- Review production orders, work in progress, wastage and cost variances
- Analyse sales and margins by product, category and sales channel
- Provide pricing, new product and what if costings to support commercial decisions
- Reconcile inventory accounts and support stocktakes, month end and year end audit work
- Develop reports and improve controls and processes

Requirements
- CIMA qualification
- At least five years of cost and management accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing BOMs, commercial finance and supply chain finance
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis
- Ability to explain financial findings clearly to people across the business
- FMCG experience is advantageous
