Success Guide
This is a specialist legal role, so treat your application like one. Lead with your admission as an Attorney and Conveyancer, and make sure your CV clearly shows the number of years you have worked in conveyancing as well as the types of matters you have handled, such as transfers, bonds, cancellations, sectional title and township subdivisions.
Proof of your admissions and your LLB qualification will likely be requested, so have certified copies ready before you apply. Because the role involves regular liaison with the Deeds Office in King Williams Town, mention any Deeds Office experience directly and note whether you have a valid drivers licence and your own vehicle.
At interview, expect questions on Deeds Office procedure, lodgement and registration timelines, FICA and POPIA compliance, and how you manage communication with clients, banks and estate agents when a matter hits a snag. A calm, precise answer about how you keep transactions on track will count in your favour.
