Success Guide

Hi there! If you are applying for this Construction Estimator role, make sure your CV clearly shows your experience with pricing projects, doing take offs and preparing tenders. Even if you have not worked as a full estimator yet, highlight any quantity surveying or construction costing work you have done. It also helps to mention the types of projects you have handled, like residential, commercial or industrial builds.

Before your interview, be ready to talk through how you read drawings and work out costs. They may ask you about a tender you helped prepare and how you handled tight deadlines or negotiated with suppliers. Bring your matric certificate and any qualifications you have. A positive attitude, strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail will go a long way. Good luck, you have got this!
