About the role
Labournet is looking for a Collections Clerk to join their team at the Head Office in Johannesburg. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for a mix of administration, reconciliations, debt collections, and quality control.
What you will do:
- Submit daily activity sheets to the Financial Executive and circulate weekly reports to Exco and Manco.
- Resolve invoice and statement queries within 8 hours.
- Perform debtors reconciliations on an ad hoc basis and handle queries within 8 hours.
- Evaluate age analysis every Monday and Friday, make 40 unique phone calls per day, and ensure all debtors targets are met.
- Handle overdue debtor queries within 8 hours, send relevant documentation within 24 hours, and complete letters of demand accurately.
- Keep the LOD tracking file and age analysis file up to date, and record daily calls.
- Maintain high quality by ensuring all calls meet required standards and queries are resolved within 8 hours.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualifications in the accounting field
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- At least 2 years of debt collecting experience
