About the role
As a Clinical Nurse in the Theatre department at Netcare Olivedale Hospital, you will play a key role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety before, during and after operations. You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and other nursing staff in a fast paced theatre environment.
You can expect to prepare the operating theatre for procedures, assist during surgery, monitor patients and maintain strict sterile conditions. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (R/N) qualification
- PB (Post Basic) qualification in Theatre Nursing
- 12 months of relevant theatre nursing experience
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating theatre and equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during operations
- Monitor patients before, during and after surgery
- Maintain sterile conditions and follow infection control protocols
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies
