About the role
South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has an opportunity for a Clinic Supervisor in the blood collection department at Durban North. You will supervise Collections Teams to procure blood according to agreed targets while ensuring donors and patients receive excellent care.
What you will do:
- Supervise the collections team to meet collection targets and maintain quality standards
- Ensure excellent customer service and care for donors and patients
- Manage quality and risk within your area of responsibility
- Lead and manage people to achieve operational objectives
- Contribute to business planning and financial management

Requirements
- Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) with current SANC registration
- At least 1 year of Blood Transfusion experience
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Current CPR Certificate (to be renewed as required)
- Current valid code 8 or 10 driver's license
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and variable hours
- Able to be on your feet for lengthy periods, carry loads up to 14kg, assist with loading and offloading vehicles, and climb stairs
- May be required to drive a company vehicle from time to time
Responsibilities
- Supervise the collections team to achieve collection targets and maintain all quality standards for procedures performed at the site
- Ensure excellent customer service for donors and patients
- Ensure quality and risk management for area of responsibility
- People managed to achieve operational objectives

- Perform complex therapeutic procedures according to patient needs
- Procure blood as per agreed targets
- Correct treatment of donors and patients according to patient needs
