A well established organisation operating across South Africa and Botswana is looking for a hands on Chief Financial Officer to partner with the Managing Director. You will lead financial strategy, manage a team, and drive profitability in a fast paced project environment. This is a senior executive role for a CA(SA) or CIMA qualified finance professional with construction or infrastructure experience, based in Centurion.

You will lead the group's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions while providing financial oversight across multiple operating entities and projects. The role involves managing project profitability, contract costing, cash flow, and working capital, as well as overseeing treasury, banking relationships, guarantees, and financial risk management. You will also ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation, audits, and corporate governance requirements, and strengthen financial systems and internal controls.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance executive who thrives in a fast paced project environment and enjoys influencing business performance beyond the numbers. Regular travel to regional operations is required.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management or executive finance role
- Proven experience within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, mining, or contracting environment
- Strong understanding of project accounting, contract costing, revenue recognition, and project profitability
- Experience managing multi site or multi entity operations
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational and strategic decisions
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- CA (SA) or CIMA qualified
Responsibilities
- Lead the group's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions
- Partner with the executive team on strategic business decisions
- Manage project profitability, contract costing, cash flow, and working capital
- Provide financial oversight across multiple operating entities and projects
- Oversee treasury, banking relationships, guarantees, and financial risk management
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation, audits, and corporate governance requirements
- Support commercial decision making on tenders, contracts, major projects, and investments
- Strengthen financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls
- Travel regularly to regional operations as required
