About the role
We are looking for a qualified Certified Welder to join a commercial vehicle workshop in Camperdown. This is a permanent role where you will use your welding, fabrication and maintenance skills to keep fleet vehicles in top condition.
What the role involves:
- Performing efficient repairs and maintenance on commercial vehicles
- Carrying out welding and fabrication work using MIG and SMAW techniques
- Doing visual inspections, calibration work and adjustments
- Identifying deviations, irregularities and unusual wear and tear
- Retrofitting and commissioning accessories and mounted components
- Documenting all work carried out on job cards
- Administering internal parts processes
- Keeping the workplace neat and tidy

Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- Certified Welder / Red Seal qualification
- NQF Level 3 qualification in Boilermaking
- MIG Welding qualification
- SMAW qualification
- Engineering fabrication experience
- Minimum five years of practical experience
- Good communication skills
- Traceable and contactable references
- Must reside locally in Camperdown or be willing to relocate
