Success Guide

GCIS is a government department that values planning and performance, so this role is a solid stepping stone if you are interested in public administration. Your CV should clearly show your qualification and list all courses you have passed, because they will check your transcript. Since this is a casual position with limited hours, use it to build experience in performance monitoring and reporting. When preparing for the practical exercise, brush up on MS Excel and Word. Also, read up on government planning documents like the APP and AOP so you can speak about them confidently. For the pre entry practical exercise, practice tasks like data capturing and report analysis. If you have any exposure to government systems or processes, highlight it. Good luck!
