Success Guide

This casual role at GCIS is a good foot in the door if you are looking for government experience without a long term commitment. Since it is only up to 24 hours a month, it suits someone who is studying or has other part time work. When you apply, make sure your CV clearly shows your matric certificate and any experience you have with Microsoft Office, even if it is from school or personal use. Highlight that you are reliable and can work without someone watching over you, because the advert stresses independence and initiative. The reference number is important, so include it exactly as given. If you get an interview, be ready to talk about how you organise tasks and handle pressure. Also show that you are curious about research and can find relevant information. A simple, neat application that follows the instructions will go a long way.
