Success Guide

This is a fantastic foot in the door at GCIS if you are a young South African with your matric. Because they ask for no experience, your application should focus on showing that you are reliable, organised and comfortable with MS Office. In your CV, highlight any school or volunteer activities where you took minutes, helped plan events or handled money or forms. Since the hours are casual (up to 24 per month), it could suit someone studying or looking for part time work while gaining government experience.

When you apply, make sure your matric certificate is attached and that you quote the reference number 3/1/5/1-26/29. For an interview, be ready to talk about how you manage deadlines and work in a team. The role is based in Pretoria, so make sure you can reliably get to the office. Good luck!
