About the role
Mogale Solution Providers is looking for a Business Unit Leader to take charge of its Regularity Audit unit. This is a senior leadership position where you will shape the unit strategy, drive performance and contribute to the wider organisational strategy. You will work closely with audit teams, stakeholders and oversight structures to ensure high quality audit outputs and a profitable, sustainable business unit.
- Develop and implement the business unit strategy and balanced scorecard
- Oversee audit operations, planning, resourcing and quality of engagements
- Sign off audit reports for significant and complex audits
- Manage stakeholder relationships including private audit firms and professional bodies
- Lead people management, talent development and transformation initiatives
- Manage the unit budget, profitability and financial targets
Requirements
- CA (SA), RGA or ACCA qualification is required
- Minimum 10 years relevant post qualification experience
- At least 6 years experience at senior management or executive level
- Strong technical auditing knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
- Proven strategic leadership and business unit management capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and people management skills
- Sound financial management and operational management ability
- Understanding of project management principles and risk management
- Commitment to integrity, ethics and transformational leadership
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and drive the implementation of the organisation long term strategy
- Develop the business unit balanced scorecard and oversee its implementation and reporting
- Oversee audit operations in line with audit methodology and standards
- Ensure assignments are adequately planned, resourced and performed
- Provide leadership support on sensitive, complex and high risk engagements
- Ensure timely sign off of all audit engagements and quality delivery of reports
- Coordinate auditing activities with other internal specialised audit services
- Sign audit reports for significant and complex audits as delegated
- Drive stakeholder engagement and manage oversight structures briefings
- Build partnerships with private audit firms, professional bodies and learning institutions
- Provide strategic direction on talent management, succession planning and transformation
- Manage the business unit budget, profitability and performance targets
- Ensure effective financial management of CWC and pre issuance allocations
