Barrier Breakers Recruitment is looking for a Business Manager to oversee healthcare operations across the Cape Region. This permanent, full time role is perfect for a registered nurse or clinical technologist with management experience who wants to lead teams, manage budgets and drive performance. You will report to the Operations Manager and help deliver high quality, patient centred care while growing your career in healthcare management.
About the role
Our healthcare sector client is seeking a qualified, results driven Business Manager to join their multidisciplinary team in the Cape. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee business and operational performance across an assigned area and lead a team of Unit Leaders. Your role is to turn regional strategy into effective unit level delivery, with accountability for financial results, growth, resources, stakeholder relationships, business intelligence reporting, governance, people performance and consistent implementation of company policies, procedures and initiatives.
Through visible leadership, coaching and performance oversight, you will enable Unit Leaders to deliver sustainable, compliant, high quality, patient centred services. You will be responsible for strategic and operational management, financial management and budgeting, resource optimisation, performance analysis and reporting, people leadership and succession planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management and compliance. You will also ensure that POPIA, labour legislation and other governance requirements are upheld.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree qualifying you for registration as a Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), or as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), is preferred
- Current registration with the relevant professional body
- A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Healthcare Management, Nursing Management, Clinical Practice, or a related field
- Demonstrated management experience in healthcare or a comparable multi site operational environment
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, resource allocation and business performance
- Experience leading managers and overseeing performance across multiple operational sites
- Experience in governance, risk management, compliance and implementing organisational policies and procedures
- Strong business intelligence, analytical and reporting skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency
- Knowledge of South African labour legislation, POPIA and information governance, change management and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
