About the role
Fluidra Waterlinx is looking for a Branch Manager to lead their retail branch in Edenvale. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the branch while working retail hours. The role focuses on hitting sales and margin targets, managing and motivating a retail team, keeping stock accurate and secure, and making sure the branch runs safely and profitably.
Key focus areas:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet monthly sales and margin targets, while training staff to spot sales opportunities and deliver excellent customer service.
- Lead, motivate and develop the retail team, including regular team building, creating a positive work environment and supporting work life balance.
- Oversee stock levels, monitor stock movement, run daily perpetual counts and correct stock records to reach 90% stock accuracy.
- Manage occupational health and safety, including hazard identification, legal compliance, employee well being and accident prevention.
- Handle financial management tasks and ensure weekly and monthly checks are completed.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, conduct security assessments and comply with the company SHEQ management system.
Please note: This is a retail role that requires working 6 days a week plus overtime on Sundays.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate, Matric or Grade 12 completed
- Diploma in Management, Supply Chain Management or a similar field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Quantifiable sales management record
- Sales oriented with the ability to interact at a senior level and manage internal and external sales teams
- Previous experience in warehousing and distribution centre management
- Detailed knowledge and experience of inventory control and OHSACT for warehousing and chemical distribution
- Budget and financial planning skills with proficiency in relevant accounting practice
- Business acumen and knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics
- Knowledge of the pool and spa industry
- Syspro knowledge is an advantage

- Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard store assets
- Conduct regular security assessments and address vulnerabilities
- Comply with the company SHEQ management system
- Manage daily branch operations while working retail hours, including 6 days a week plus overtime on Sundays
