About the role

Your job is to understand what each customer needs, give them clear and compliant financial advice, and help them use the right banking channels, whether that is a product, a self-service option, or an eChannel.

You will build long-term relationships with clients, manage leads and follow-ups, and make sure all records and documents are accurate and in line with FAIS, FICA, and Treating Customers Fairly principles. You will also work towards individual and branch sales and service targets while keeping your advice ethical and customer focused.

This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems, has strong selling skills, and can stay organised in a high-volume service environment. You will be surrounded by a supportive team that values differences and invests in your personal and career growth.

Important note: Applications will not be accepted on or after 9 November 2026, so submit yours early. You will apply on FNB's own system through the link provided.

Success Guide

Applying for a Branch Advisor role at FNB means showing that you can balance sales, service, and compliance. When you prepare your CV, highlight any experience where you dealt with clients face to face, gave financial advice, or worked towards sales targets.

Make sure you mention your NQF Level 5 qualification clearly and include the certificate with your application. In an interview for a bank branch role, expect questions about how you handle a difficult customer, how you explain a product simply, and how you stay compliant under pressure.

Brush up on FAIS and Treating Customers Fairly principles, and be ready to give examples of when you helped a client choose the right solution. Arrive professional and friendly, and remember that FNB values people who are helpful, ethical, and adaptable. Submit your application before 9 November 2026.

How we help you prepare

This employer takes applications on their own website, so you'll submit this one yourself — but SPAAN NOW gets everything ready for you first. Here's how it works:

  1. Our AI tailors your CV to match this job's keywords and requirements, so it stands out to recruiters and screening systems.
  2. A custom cover letter is written specifically for this role — no generic templates.
  3. We gather the documents this job needs: CV, Diploma certificate, Academic transcript, ID copy and NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related field. SPAAN NOW pulls these from your profile and packages them together, ready to attach.
  4. Once your application is prepared, we show you exactly how and where to apply — just follow the link to the employer and submit your ready-made CV, cover letter and documents.
  5. Mark it as applied under Applications to keep track, and if you're shortlisted, use AI Interview Prep to practise questions commonly asked for roles like this.

We do the hard part — tailoring and gathering everything — so applying yourself only takes a minute.
