Success Guide

Moving to New Zealand is a big step, so make your CV work hard for you. This role values hands on skill over fancy words, so list the vehicle brands you have worked on, the diagnostic tools you know, and any WOF licence you hold. If you do not have the WOF licence yet, say clearly that you are willing to get one.

They also want a clean NZ driver licence, so mention yours and any plans to convert it. In your cover letter, a short line about why you want to work in New Zealand and how you handle customer service will help you stand out. Be ready to talk through a tricky diagnosis you solved, because that is what a workshop interview usually digs into.
