Aviner is looking for a young Assistant Security Technician to join their team at Waterkloof Estate in Rustenburg. This is a hands-on entry level role where you will learn fibre installation, electric fencing, access control and CCTV under the guidance of senior technicians. If you have your matric, a driver's licence and a keen interest in security technology, this is a great chance to build practical skills while earning R11 500 per month.
About the role
As an Assistant Security Technician at Aviner, you will support the senior technicians with daily installation and maintenance work at Waterkloof Estate in Rustenburg. This is a practical, hands-on role that gives you exposure to a range of security and technical systems while you build your experience.
What you can expect to do:
- Assist with fibre installations and splicing
- Help with basic electric fence installations
- Support access control and CCTV installation work
- Do basic wiring and fault finding
- Route cables, complete terminations and keep the work area tidy
- Follow drawings and instructions from senior team members

Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- PSIRA registration
- Valid driver's licence
- 0 to 2 years of practical experience
- Relevant certificate or diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (N1 to N3 or equivalent)
- IT or Networking fundamentals (beneficial)
- Basic fibre optics course (recommended)
- Electric fence installer course (entry level, recommended)
- Access control system basics (recommended)
- Basic health and safety awareness (recommended)
- Basic networking knowledge: IP addressing, router and switch basics
- Ability to use a fusion splicer under supervision
- Ability to use a multimeter and testers
- Ability to follow drawings and instructions
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with security system installations
- Perform installations under supervision
- Carry out basic fault finding on security systems
- Handle cable routing and terminations
- Maintain housekeeping on site
