Success Guide
This is a specialist role at one of South Africa's most important financial institutions, so your application should highlight more than just your qualifications. Make sure your CV clearly shows hands on experience with DAST, SAST and SCA tools, and give concrete examples of vulnerabilities you have found and helped fix. The SARB values people who can work with developers and explain security risks in plain language, so mention any projects where you collaborated with IT teams or presented findings to stakeholders. Your CASE and CEH certificates are non negotiable, so attach copies and list them prominently. In an interview, expect questions on secure coding practices, threat modelling and how you handle a security incident. Brush up on cloud security for AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, as that knowledge is listed as a requirement. Also, take time to understand the SARB's role in the financial system and its drive to diversify its workforce, as transformation is part of their hiring vision.
