  • Demonstrated supervisory or coordination experience, including overseeing staff and managing daily priorities.
  • Computer literate in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Excel, Granite and Pastel.
  • Advanced inventory management and stock control capability.
  • Strong office administration and operational coordination skills.

  • Good communication skills for dealing with line managers, supervisors, storemen, stock controllers, clients and suppliers.
  • Reporting, presentation and data analysis skills.
  • Problem solving, investigation and negotiation skills.
  • Valid Driver's Licence, valid South African ID and no criminal record.
  • Willingness to work standby as per the roster.

Responsibilities

  • Take daily accountability for opening and closing the Asset Management office according to operating and security procedures, and monitor access to stock and office areas.
  • Maintain office control records, checklists and registers, and coordinate general office support for the Asset Management team.
  • Oversee daily stock movements, receipts, issues, transfers, returns and system updates to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage faulty stock, repair vendors, written off and obsolete stock in line with policy.
  • Provide day to day direction and oversight to the Stock Controller, allocate tasks and check their work.
  • Coach and mentor the Stock Controller and act as first escalation point for issues.
  • Coordinate stock and office support for projects, and assist internal and external customers with stock queries and handovers.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports, and monitor compliance with Asset Management policies.
