Network Finance is looking for a hands on Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting function for a thriving manufacturing and industrial company in Centurion. This role is for an ambitious and energetic Accountant who wants to make a real impact. As a key business partner, you will help drive financial performance, improve processes, and support strategic decision making.
What you will be doing:
- Managing the full accounting function from source documents to financial reporting
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Overseeing General Ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Processing and reviewing journals, accruals, and provisions
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing VAT submissions and assisting with tax matters
- Supporting month end and year end close processes
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Liaising with auditors and preparing for audits
- Analysing financial results and providing insights to management
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes
- Collaborating with operational teams to support business objectives

Requirements
- BCom Accounting or related Finance Degree
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience managing the full accounting function
- ERP system experience is essential
- Exposure to Syspro will be advantageous
- Experience in Manufacturing, Mining, FMCG, or Industrial environment is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, VAT, and general accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions driven mindset
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting function from source documents to financial reporting
