Account Manager for Recruitment Software (SaaS) Cape Town

Ditto · Cape Town, Western Cape · Hybrid

Full time
Best to apply before 2 Dec 2026 (24 days left)

Overview

Ditto is looking for an Account Manager to own a portfolio of recruitment agency clients in Cape Town. You will build real relationships, help clients get more value from our software, and spot opportunities for growth. If you have 3 to 5 years of B2B account management or customer success experience and enjoy a hybrid working setup, this could be a great fit.

About the role

Ditto builds software that helps recruitment agencies run their businesses more smoothly. We are looking for an Account Manager who will make sure our clients are getting the most out of our product. You will pick up the phone, remember what was discussed, and do what you said you would do.

What you will be doing:

  • Own an established portfolio of recruitment agency clients, working alongside top management and our support, training and technical teams.
  • Get to know your clients' businesses, understand how they use Ditto and spot where they need a hand. This might mean coordinating training, getting an issue in front of the right person, or having a frank conversation with an unhappy client.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new clients and spot opportunities for upgrades or additional products. You will qualify those opportunities and bring in top management to close them.
  • Help clients get more out of Ditto by looking at usage, asking questions and coordinating guidance or training where it will make a difference.
  • Spot trouble early. Notice the warning signs when a client goes quiet, have the conversation and follow through.
  • Run welcome calls, agree go-live plans and coordinate migration, setup and training for new clients. Stay involved until they are actively using Ditto.
  • Keep people in the loop when something goes wrong, working with support and technical teams to keep the client updated.
  • Handle renewals by leading renewal and pricing conversations using approved pricing and bringing exceptions to top management.
  • Find opportunities to grow accounts by recognising when another Ditto product or an upgrade would genuinely help.
  • Maintain useful CRM notes, clear next steps and a weekly account report.

Keen? Send us your CV and a short introduction. Tell us about a client relationship you turned around or how you helped someone get more value from a product. We would like to hear what you actually did.

Requirements

  • Around 3 to 5 years of B2B account management or customer success experience, with the ability to manage a portfolio independently.
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to hold your own in a difficult conversation.
  • Excellent follow through without needing constant reminders.
  • Organised enough to manage a large portfolio without treating every account the same.
  • Comfortable learning software, investigating workflows, reproducing issues and explaining integrations in plain English.
  • Excellent spoken and written English. Afrikaans is a bonus.
  • Happy to travel within South Africa approximately once per quarter.
  • SaaS or software experience would be useful. Recruitment industry experience gets you bonus points.

Responsibilities

  • Build proper relationships with clients and keep in touch with a purpose.
  • Help clients get more out of Ditto by reviewing usage, asking questions and coordinating guidance or training.
  • Spot trouble early by noticing warning signs when a client goes quiet, having the conversation and following through.
  • Get new clients off to a good start by running welcome calls, agreeing go-live plans and coordinating migration, setup and training until they are actively using Ditto.
  • Keep people in the loop when something goes wrong by working with support and technical teams and keeping the client updated.
  • Handle renewals by leading renewal and pricing conversations using approved pricing and bringing exceptions to top management.
  • Find opportunities to grow accounts by recognising when another Ditto product or an upgrade would genuinely help, qualifying the opportunity and handing it over for closing.
  • Maintain useful CRM notes, clear next steps and a weekly account report.

Success Guide

This role at Ditto is a great opportunity if you enjoy building relationships and helping clients succeed. When you apply, focus on a specific example of how you turned a client relationship around or helped someone get more value from a product. The hiring team wants to hear what you actually did, not just that you have excellent interpersonal skills. Be ready to talk through your experience with B2B account management or customer success, ideally around 3 to 5 years. If you have SaaS or recruitment industry experience, highlight that. Also, mention your willingness to travel within South Africa once per quarter. The hybrid setup in Cape Town means you will balance office and remote work. Make sure your CV is up to date and your cover letter tells a clear story about your client management wins.
